Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator
 
Mr. Hendrix graduated from Sherman High in 1989 where he was also 1st Team 5-5A ALL-District- Defensive Back in 1987 and 1988 also 1st Team 5A ALL-State- Defensive Backs in 1988. Than received his Associate of Arts in Criminal Justice from Cisco Junior College in 1991. Mr. Hendrix than went on to receive his Bachelor of Science in Sports Management with and emphasis Health, Sports Administration and minor in Counseling from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, MO in 1995 where he was the 1993 and 1994 1st Team All-MIAA- Defensive back and 1994 2nd Team All-American NCAA II Defensive back in football. Mr. Hendrix has also played and coached professional football. Mr. Hendrix was a Defensive back for the Indianapolis Colts (NFL) 1995 and 1996, Defensive back for the Calgary Stampeders and British Columbia Lions (CFL) 1997, Defensive back/ Wide Receiver for the Oklahoma Crude (NIFL) 2001 and Defensive back/ Wide Receiver for the Texas Thunder (APFL) 2004. He than coached professionally in 2002 as Defensive Coordinator for the Oklahoma Crude (NIFL) and Defensive Backs Coach Texas Regulators in 2007(APFL). Hendrix is married with two beautiful daughters and a son.
 
 
Offensive Coordinator and Assistant Head Coach
 
The 2008 IIFA Offense Coordinator of the year lead the Crunch to the first ever IIFA title. Roderic is a 1990 graduate of O.D. Watt High School in Ft. Worth, Texas where he was a three sport athlete and All- State DB. He than attended the University of Oklahoma than transfer to Northeast Oklahoma State University. After college Roderic was workout by a number of professional football teams in the NFL and CFL, but a knee injury put that on hold. Coach Boatman got the chance to play professional football after rehabing his knee. He play for the Oklahoma Crude of the NIFL where his was leading the team in tackles and INT's until he injuried his knee again. Roderic got another shot will two AFL teams but it didn't workout. Coach Boatman is married with two beautiful daughters.  
 
 
Offensive Assistant/QB Coach
 

Clay Ard is from Wylie, Texas. He currently resides in Mabank, Texas. He graduated from Wylie High School in 1989. He was a four sport letterman in Football, baseball, track, and tennis. He received district and state honors as and offensive linemen, and was a district, regional and state tournament qualifier in tennis.  He received his associate of Arts in Social Sciences at Collin County Community College in 1991.  He graduated from Texas A&M University at Commerce with a Bachelor of Science in Broadfield Social Sciences.  Mr. Ard played tennis at Collin County Community College, and moved on to the University of North Texas. There, he played inter-collegiate racquetball. He played on the National qualifying team in 1992-93. After this, he played on the professional level and was sponsored by Spalding for two years. The mainstay of Mr. Ard's career has been in High School athletics. He has coached on the varsity level in Football, power lifting, track, basketball, and tennis over his thirteen year career. Mr. Ard's football tenure has produced 6 district championships and 13 play-off appearances. He has directly coached and sent over 75 student-athletes to play on the collegiate level.

 
Offensive/Defensive Line/Special Teams Coach
 
I'm Garry Shubert Sr., Offensive/ defensive line coach and Special team's coach of the Kaufman County Crunch.  I started playing football in fifth grade, and continued through high school.  I played for H.G.Spruce H.S.  as center and guard, and we went to regional in 1974. After high school, I played semi-pro for the North Texas Football League(NTFL).  During my six years with the Dallas Texans, I was  offensive lineman of the year in 1979 and made the All Star team four of those six years.  In 1980, I was a walk-on in the Dallas Cowboys camp, but was released.  In 1981, I played for the Garland Stars, and the team won the championship.  After that, I coached fifth and sixth graders in Pee-Wee football in Garland. The team went to three playoff appearances, with the third going to the Super Bowl. In 1991 I helped start the Forney Pee-Wee Association (FPWA), and  coached there till 1994. In 2001 I started coaching Semi Pro football in the North American Football League(NAFL) with the Texas Heat as  the Offensive Coordinator.  In 2002, while I was offensive line coach,  the team went to the quarter finals.  I completed my coaching there in 2003. Then in 2006 I was OL/DL coach with the Dallas Diesel. The Diesel only lost one game and went to the championship in Las Vegas.  I started coaching for the Kaufman County Crunch in 2007.  We won the championship!

Shannon Brazzell

Assistant Defensive Coach


Mr. Brazzell brings his own brand and style garnered from over 20 years of football experience including NFL and Division I (NCAA) at a high level of performance. Mr. Brazzell was a Blue Chip All American in High School, a Top 25 College Recruit and received All WAC Conference Honors as a Linebacker for the perennial Top 25 Ranked Football Teams at Texas Christian University.

After attending Oakland Raider Camps and pursuing his NFL dreams, Shannon entered into the high impact Industry of Oil & Gas. Recently, Mr. Brazzell was selected to lead (LaDanian) Tomlinson's Touching Lives Foundation. He also sits on the Board of Directors. As the Executive Director he is responsible for executing on the strategy set forth by the Board of Directors.



Chris Brazzell         
Assist antOffense Coach


As Offensive Coordinator from 2000-2004 the Dallas Knights fielded the top offenses in the league dropping from the #1 Offense after the 2004 season. Chris was instrumental in returning the Knights to greatness earning recognition as a perennial top 2 offense through 2009. Under his tutelage, the Knights have returned to the AEFL Championships in every year since 2005.

Professional Football Experience NFL/CFL

Retired Wide Receiver in the Canadian Football League; Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
2003-2004: CFL for the B.C. Lions (2003 ranked second on the team and sixth in the league in receiving with 1,111 yards.)
2001-2002: CFL for the Edmonton Eskimos
1999-2000 Dallas Cowboys /2000 7th in Tackles on Special Teams
1998 6th Round Draft Pick New York Jets

College

Earned All-Lone Star conference honors in his senior year at Angelo State after posting 47 catches for 1,091 yards and 13 touchdowns.
He played only two seasons at Angelo State but finished ninth on the school’s all-time receiving list. Chris holds the Texas high school
single season record with 75 catches for 1,971 yards, including a career high 309 yards receiving in a single game.
